Proposition 1 Disadvantaged Community Involvement Grant
In 2018, the Mountain Counties Funding Area selected Sierra Institute for Community and Environment as the Grantee for the DWR Proposition 1 IRWM Disadvantaged Community Involvement Grant. Additionally, each IRWM Region within the Funding Area received approximately $45,000 in technical assistance funding.

Upper Feather River Water Supply Reliability Project
In 2019, the Upper Feather River (UFR) Integrated Regional Water Management Group (RWMG) selected Plumas County to be the Grantee on behalf of the Upper Feather River IRWM Region to pursue DWR’s Proposition 1 IRWM Round 1 funding, which was awarded in late 2020. The Water Supply Reliability Project consists of two disadvantaged community municipal projects:
Project 1: Sierraville Public Utilities District’s Alternative Water Source
Project 2: Indian Valley Community Services District’s Community Emergency Water Storage
